Re: Top 5 Pick-Ups of 2017

I was never too bothered about their work but then I saw a couple of large original pieces in this style at an art fair a couple of months ago and was most impressed. Very pleased I picked this print up, it's a beauty in person.

Re: Top 5 Pick-Ups of 2017

Probably only bought about 10 things this year, but love every single one of 'em. My photos are fudge. Too good and not entirely unrelated points.

Re: James Jean News and Releases

How was the packaging? I remember someone else in here complaining about how poorly it traveled. They sent them out originallt with print up against the plate. Yeah, I think mine had the print in the lid of the box with the plate, though it was wrapped in tissue paper. It was in perfect condition b...

Also bought this plate/print set from This Is A Limited Edition. Re: James Jean News and Releases

Well this is much nicer than expected. Looks like I lucked out getting one without any damage. My photos are as fudge as ever though. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4560/38834382671_4aec6d5724_z.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4570/38834215591_f3cff13e02_z.jpg https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4581/...

Re: SHOW US YOUR ORIGINAL PAINTINGS, etc...."NICE" ART

How much were the Kawasakis? £2250. I was hoping £1500 to £1800, but couldn't justify stretching to that. They were really nice though. Edit: that was the price of the 2 pencil sketches, obviously. There were also 6 paintings. One was £8500 and all the others were between £17500 and £23500 I think....

Re: SHOW US YOUR ORIGINAL PAINTINGS, etc...."NICE" ART

Thanks for the kind words folks. And that Danny O'Connor - I hadn't seen his work in awhile - still one of my favorites of his works. And it complements its new neighbor quite well. One of my favourite pieces, and I agree that they work quite well together. Ideally I'd have the new piece displayed o...

Re: SHOW US YOUR ORIGINAL PAINTINGS, etc...."NICE" ART

Bought a couple of oil paintings at the Moniker Art Fair in London a couple of weeks ago. First big purchases in a long while. Artist is Rafael Hayashi, a Brazilian of Japanese descent based in Sao Paulo. Not heard of him before but was blown away by his work in person: https://farm5.staticflickr.co...
