Re: Print yellowing along outside border

Not sure id gamble like thst acid might penetrate Sorry, I meant frame sealing tape. From the description here: http://www.dickblick.com/products/lineco-frame-sealing-tape/ - The layer of aluminum provides a barrier that stops acid migration and meets the standard for maximum preservation framing. ...

Re: Print yellowing along outside border

Frame lining tape along the inside of the rabbet (so between the frame and the print) will solve this issue if it is indeed the frame itself that's acidic?

The frame is the default/cliche michael's frame. I guess it is mdf or some kind of composite?

Re: Print yellowing along outside border

Thanks for all the responses. The foam board is definitely acid free - I got it from a local art supply store. Also it shows no signs of yellowing. I do plan on getting some better glass, but in the meantime wanted to at least put in the spacers (which are acid free) and add the dust cover. Should I...

There appears to be yellowing along the outside border of the print (see pictures). I'm assuming this yello...

Re: Framing Help/Advice Thread

Any ideas on how to frame a print without any borders? As in the artwork extends to the edge of the print - there is no border around the artwork itself. The frame or mat would be block at least an 1/8 inch of art all around the print. Is it acceptable to float something like this?

Re: Storing prints flat

I've been storing my print between two 30x40 acid-free foam core boards (or whatever the standard size is, I forget), with each print separated by a sheet of glassine. So like Foam core - print - glassine - print - glassine - print -foam core With some artist's tape holding the foam core boards toge...

Re: Seattle artist Sail

Don't know if any of y'all saw this but Sail has recently mentioned on his instagram putting an effort into producing prints "later this year/early next year".
