Re: Greensky Bluegrass Kalamazoo 14 Pollock
This is a cool print. I saw a one-off at Jim's studio where the green ink is more of a teal color, but when added over the yellow it makes it look like a darker green. This print looks simple, but the layering of the paint and the way he uses transparent colors to build up on top of each other is pr...

Re: Phish Tree Of Life Big Cypress 99 JDK
I tell you what, during and adter college, having a safe place to unroll a 4 ft poster in all the different apts, houses, cities I've lived in, it was never a possibility. Flat surfaces were hard to come by with books, coffee mugs, beercans etc. A dorm is no place for archival prints! Tube is the saf...

Great print! Not sure if I have "Washington Press Rust Dust" prints on the back of mine, or if its just the rust color of the paint (black and red) that I am seeing. Either way, interesting that these were done between two presses. A transition piece to say the least!

Cool print, looks awesome in person. Small run, love the colors. There is a two color version as well that was printed on white paper, and therefore has no white printed plate like this brown stock version does. Great work Jim, keep it up!

Re: Geisha Beetle 12 Pollock
Such a gorgeous print, I think its really underrated.
I feel like a simple "phish" banner and date on it would make it a legendary show print, but seeing it as just an image like this is awesome. Great work, and I can't believe people can't get rid of these, they are all over ebay...

Re: Pollock Open Studio Chicago 08 Horan
Cool print, got this at Pollocks open house in 2008. Just noticed the artists name and I have been buying some Pollock prints off of Bruce Horan recently. Wish I would have put two and two together and had given him a shout out. Nice work Bruce!

Re: Phish Tree Of Life Big Cypress 99 JDK
Very cool print I picked one up at the show. $30 sounds about right. I recall being disappointed that it wasn't a Pollock print for such a seminal event. Coming off of the summer/fall prints of 99 I felt let down when I hit the merchant booth. Although its a detailed and unique image it never really...

Re: Moog 10 Pollock
Just got this print in the mail, it could be Washington-press, but I'm more inclined to think bookbinding press. It is smaller than I thought, and very old school messy with carve lines all over the place and pretty thick ink. Its def not Heidleberg, and its pre-Vandercook. On the backs of the Washi...

Re: Moog 10 Pollock
Does anyone know what press Jim did this print on ?
I bought one, I don't have it yet, but my guess is the Washington Hand Press. Is it a Heidelberg?

Re: Capone 13 Pollock
Urban Floral is 3 years old, but still 15 years after the beginning of his amazing career, where some of his earlier works are the most prized works. IMO Urban Floral is a more technically advanced and masterful print than almost anything he did in the golden era of 96-2000, not that I don't love th...

and the Popeye arm   Sorry, but I can't think of a single artist who has devolved more than JP. Really a shame. Some of his earlier work is absolutely gorgeous and masterful. Now he has resorted to releasing APs at more than market price to make his money instead of putting the time and ...

Re: Arcade Fire Chicago 11 Burlesque
excellent print! I love this piece, not to mention how epic the second Chicago show was. Isn't the imagery from this print taken from "The Suburbs" short film by Spike Jonez? I assumed that's where the images were taken from.... Maybe Wes just took the feeling and tone of the film and sourced his ow...

Re: Capone 13 Pollock
I love the use of the white paint on this one. Can't wait to see this in person. Another amazing print Jim! This is great subject matter, I love when his prints are based off of real people. The size of Capone's forearm is definitely a "loaded gun" of sorts! Its great how the red and blue paint laye...
