Re: Sketching: The Animal Kingdom 09 McCarthy

The picture I took isn't the greatest, but it's definitely a Lion. Think of drawing all those animals without being able to erase any mistakes. Great print. I wasn't excited about the line from the window on the house to the corner of the print when I first saw the jpeg, but on the print it's pretty...

Need help with a search

Is there a way to search for prints by their date? I guess this would only be for actual gig posters and not art prints, but if I wanted to search for a certain date, is that possible? Thanks

Re: Bon a Tier

I found that same page. I thought it was interesting that this being a community of mainly collectors, that more of these aren't circulating. I guess some printers don't use them and instead maybe just use an AP or PP?

Bon a Tier

So I recently acquired a "Bon a Tier" version of a print and I wanted to see what you guys knew about them. I was never an art student so the term is new to me, but apparently is the first good impression an artist approves for the master printer to use as the standard for the edition. I didn't know...

Re: 666 Flags Panel #1 08 Deuce 7

My set is signed(all in a different way), not numbered, with a border. Same dimensions as greasy. The person I bought them from told me they got them at the gallery show, so whatever edition that is.

Re: storage of prints???

a good flat file is definitely the way to go, a lot of prints won't fit in the Itoya portfolios, and you don't want to leave them rolled up for too long. There's an ongoing debate about wood vs. metal flat file, but either way you'll probably want to look into getting one if you plan on adding to yo...
