Re: Framed Horkey Thread

Sunny day so it was hard to get good pictures. I'll re-shoot at some point. Inner mat is gold-bronze with some texture, similar to the silver-grey I used with ROTK. Both have an 8-ply matte black top mat. http://s15.postimg.org/bcmhkmq4b/DSC_3522.jpg http://s15.postimg.org/e5b3qx12z/DSC_3525.jpg ROT...

Corey and gang just finished this one up for me. Really special poster for a number of reasons and the treatment was just perfect.

Re: Horkey/Dead Arts Rumors and News

^ So then for Aaron's releases, is this the traditional breakdown: regular run, sub run, APs, PPs? I would say more often than not, sub copies are just a part of the regular run but it's certainly not unheard of for them to be a separate edition as well. Just depends on what he feels like I guess. ...

Re: Framed Horkey Thread

Cross post from the Hoarfrost thread. Made this this weekend. I had the glass cut to the size of the print months ago. When I started doing the rough layout i realized it really needs a mat. To cramped with out it. So I built an inner frame out of old oak flooring that I sanded down pretty smooth, ...

Here's mine from a while ago -- http://forum.expressobeans.com/viewtopi ... 2#p2095872

I always liked the Japan version a heck of a lot more than the others, still one of my favorite prints.

fitz wrote:so why is everyone ISO the Stout Star Wars and IB prints all of a sudden?

This isn't exclusive to Stout prints, but everyone wants one when there's any kind of a spike in interest and that ends up snowballing. Kind of a circle of life thing :pint:

Re: Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 12 Horkey

I thought about this too, since I have both variants (ROTK is already framed) -- I opted to stick with the same moulding but complement the different color palettes via mats. Given all of these are going to hang together on one wall I found varying the mouldings a little distracting, particularly wi...

Re: Horkey/Dead Arts Rumors and News

The Itoya 13x19 ProFolios are a great product, I have several of them for my comic art and they've stood up well over many years. The backing is black acid-free paper but I usually store more expensive pieces in 4mil Myler (there's room in the sleeves to even use a backing board for more flimsy piec...
