Re: Allen Williams Sketchbook

I'm sure it varies, but are timed releases usually this price? I got a timed release of an Audrey Kawasaki print for $100. I know this one is hand embellished, but on 1xRun, I got a Soey Milk print, hand embellished, and numbered out of just 15, for $200. I guess this is why I assumed this would be ...

Re: Allen Williams Sketchbook

Are you planning on getting it? I just learned about Williams the other day. I was thinking of getting this but I really don't like the price. I was expecting $75 to $80. I have never ordered from the site before, and while I'm sure they're definitely on the up and up, I think it's weird that the on...

This guy is incredible. Just learned about him a week ago and already got one of his pieces. So Struzan-like it's scary. Can't wait to see what he does next.

Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Returning From Battle 15

This is very cool. Not familiar with Fosdike, but I'll be following him now. How do people get on these commission lists for all these different pieces of artwork? Checked out his website but he doesn't even have a blog page.

Re: Martin Wittfooth - News/Discussion

it is well put together and excellent. i would mention the masterworks book MW is featured in is also very nice Curious to know if anyone bought Wittfooth's book, and if so, how do you like it? Does Babel include MW commenting on some of his pieces, or is the book mostly just images of his work?

Re: Rear Window 14 Durieux

Question for those that have this print or seen it... Does it look as good in person as it looks in some of the photos? Sometimes I see the print and the colors are striking and quite bold. Other times it looks a bit on the washed out end of the specturm--still nice but more dull and less vivid. So ...

Re: Psycho 14 Durieux

Love the movie, and the print looks great, but I'm unclear on something. Bottom left corner--what are we seeing here? Meaning, well I don't want to spoil the movie (too soon? :P) but I'll just say this: Does the bottom left corner represent the young woman with her back turned to us as she's about t...

Re: Rear Window 13 Tong

Maybe light coming through the blinds rolled up at the top? Or maybe from a side window in his apartment--it's been a while since I've seen the movie. Or, maybe it's just Tong's creative choice. Really do like the variant. It's a ton of black in the art, which I'm not sure I love, and there's no imp...

Re: Obama Hope 08 Fairey

So ultimately, what differentiates a real Obama fairey poster (be it just a signed one, or a signed and numbered out of 600) from a fake poster? Is it the paper stock--are the real ones on thin or thick paper? Is it whether the poster is matte or glossy? Obviously, anyone can fake a photo or use som...
