Re: Mould/stain removal advice.

Bit of an update. I’ve got an appointment booked with Joanna Payne, who is a top conservator based in London. Feeling a bit better about this. I’ve also just ordered a portfolio from Baroque Portfolios, so I’ll look forward to receiving that and reorganising my 1 sheets and screen prints and getting...

Mould/stain removal advice.

Hey, all. I was going through the collection today and was gutted to find that my large edition Janee Meadows Lolita print has got a bit of a stain on it. I can’t tell what happened here but possible came from the rust of the folder? It’s on a thicker card stock and I’m wondering of there’s a good w...

Re: Rockin Jelly Bean - Oh Yeah.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed at his Mondo release. I thought it was too safe and was expecting more. Oh well. It's still a nice one, but...meh Gotta agree with you, and I'm saying that as a huge fan of his who has been collecting for several years. This is one of his weakest pieces in som...

Shipping rolled oil painting - Advice please

Hey all, A friend recently made a painting for us, which we need to ship overseas. I believe it's done with oils but we've noticed that since it was given to us rolled up, it already exhibits some marks from where the paint has rubbed. Does anyone have any suggestions about what kind of protective p...

Re: Place for UK users to gather/trade/chat!

Yes I did. In fact, after the first draft he said the design was locked down pending my approval. So when I said let's go with it things went silent. I assumed he was finalising everything ready to ship. He gave every reason for me to expect it just might come through in time. Missed the Christmas d...

Re: Place for UK users to gather/trade/chat!

Man, it's a long story. I will probably type it all up soon and post it. The short version is that he offered a commission service on his site and it would be payment up front via paypal. I mailed him first to ask if it would be possible for him to have a design ready by xmas. He said yes. I sent pa...

Yea, as patient as I can be. I was contacting him every couple of months, so hardly unreasonable stalker type stuff.

Re: Place for UK users to gather/trade/chat!

yeah never pay up front, I like it split into three unless is a small amount, 1/3 up front 1/3 on approval and 1/3 on delivery. keeps everyone covered and the artist interested, Just the way he did it, supposedly respected artist as well (which is why I didn't think badly of it) and it was done wit...

Re: Place for UK users to gather/trade/chat!

I am starting to regret buying the Moss GoT set now. I don't understand how it can be acceptable to everyone that he can take £170 off you and not give any updates, never mind send them out, for over 2 months! Imagine if any other gallery did that! I know how you feel, though slightly different sit...

Re: Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread

Could someone please tell me if the brown tissue-like paper that Mondo places inside of their posters when shipping is acid free or not? I was wondering if I could use it to place between prints.

Re: Place for UK users to gather/trade/chat!

Hey all,

I've recently moved to London and I'm wondering if anyone here knows of any reputable framers they can recommend please? It's not like there's a shortage here, they seem to be on most streets, like hair dressers, the quality of which is concerning.
