Re: SHOW US YOUR ORIGINAL PAINTINGS, etc...."NICE" ART

I’ve been jealous of Robbie’s sweet Despain robot piece for ages. I had a commission with Brian for one of my own, but he had to bail on doing it for persona...

Re: SHOW US YOUR ORIGINAL PAINTINGS, etc...."NICE" ART

Another option might be a “float frame” if it looks right with the piece. They don’t actually come right up to the edge of the art. Usually set off by 1/8” or 1/4”, but will essentially hide the sides. It’d have to be a pretty deep one tho. Not sure I’ve seen deeper than 1.5” https://i.postimg.cc/T1...

Re: SHOW US YOUR ORIGINAL PAINTINGS, etc...."NICE" ART

How are you supposed to frame a oil painting on 2 inch birch ? Any recommendations ...1st OG for me.. With a deep frame. Here’s one of mine. You won’t need glass as I assume it’s a “flat” piece and not an assemblage with stuff sticking off it like this guy. But that is one way to go. https://i.post...

Re: Jeremy Geddes thread

Ahh, the good old days. I remember when these prints sat on Jem’s store for months on end, selling one here or there as the months rolled by. Took a long time for those to all sell. Maybe years? It wasn’t until after the Cosmo pieces started getting him some attention that people even noticed the ot...

Re: SHOW US YOUR ORIGINAL PAINTINGS, etc...."NICE" ART

Very interesting.
Call me crazy, but I think I quite like the back of that more than the front. It’s so lively, and full of an oblique kinetic energy.

The Owens is great, of course,

Re: Jeremy Geddes thread

Jeremys studies are great in person. In some ways, more vital and lively than the finished works. More abstracted, but the accuracy of color and values are all there.

Very cool. And he is such a kind guy, it’s no surprise he sent the second study your way. It was for a wonderful cause.

Kudos!
