Re: James Jean News and Releases

with the attached print i do understand the price. but its really just a print release at that point. where the viability of it hangs on just the collector world just looping back to collecting prints. glad you got something you like. its not though. There are ppl keeping the NFT. Around 1,700. Per...

Has anyone used UPS capital 'InsureShield' service?
trying to figure out how to actually insure a 4K shipment which is too big for USPS..

seems too good to be true but if it works, could be great.
Priority Mail Express lets you insure up to 5k.

Re: Midsommar May Queen 20 Higuchi Release Discussion 05/27/20

What's odd about it? It's a screenprint so the paper shouldn't look shiny like a litho would. I don't see any large / high-res images out there that would allow you to print it at 24x36 without looking like fudge. Here's an archive of the original sale page: https://web.archive.org/web/2020092506103...

Re: Mondo Poster News & Rumors

I hope they release Akiko's Portrait of a Lady on Fire. It's with Neon, so maybe it'll happen. EDIT: Mondo, not that auction. She was supposed to have a show in August here in LA but it was delayed. There were going to be prints available for that show including Portrait. She says it's been postpon...

Re: USPS woes :(

Forgot to add to this. While this is a service that everyone uses, the money can also go towards building a road, a bridge, a hospital, funding education, etc. $2B (and more before that) is a big chunk of change for public sector to loose, no matter where you are from. $2b is .0004% of the US gover...

Re: USPS woes :(

Fedex doesn't even insure art unless they pack it right? And only up to like 2k or something too. The USPS is basically the envy of the world and one of the few government agencies that has a 90%+ approval rating across the US. No one cares it loses money because the benefits outweigh the costs by f...

Re: USPS woes :(

Looks like that clown DeJoy is truly trying to ruin the post office. Everything I've had coming my way recently via USPS Priority Mail has taken at least 10 days. The tubes just go dark. They go into a facility then nothing for days. I've gotten into the habit of creating Package Research Cases whi...

Re: Mondo Poster News & Rumors

The drafthouse in here downtown LA had pretty consistent crowds since it opened. They also had really good rocky horror picture-like events that sold out really quickly. It helps that the actual theatres only fit like 40 or 50 people as opposed to the LA Live theatre down the street that fit 400 peo...

Anyone getting their shipments returned due to quarantines in Euro countries? I'm getting two of mine - one to France and one to Italy - sent back. "Your package cannot be delivered due to exceptional circumstances beyond our control or because access to the delivery address is impossible."

Odd city got roasted for their complete screw-up when this is just as bad (if not worse), and it's crickets in here.

That said, I love my California zephyr on wood.
