Re: Mondo Poster News & Rumors

I think I got the answers I wanted which is some are more willing to work for Mondo than others but various issues exist and as you all have said, maybe they have just moved on (kind of like I have for the most part). Life goes on. You buy a house, have a kid, focus on other things. The only one I r...

Re: Mondo Poster News & Rumors

As someone who has only been checking in every now and again recently, what happened to Stout, Moss and Horkey? Did they have a falling out with Mondo or are they just not making as much art? Ah yessss the classic, 'where are the heavy hitters who haven't sold art with mondo in years' comment. i ne...

I'm glad I don't care
Fixed.

Same is true with FB bourbon groups (scotch groups aren't as bad because not nearly as much HYPE). Bourbon people can't buy Pappy off the shelf and bitch about the industry, hobby, and other collectors/flippers. Probably the same with any collectible hobby.

Re: Laurent Durieux's Modes of Transportation

I did eventually request and receive a refund. I think I got 2 of the 6 posters. I always got the impression the delay was mostly Durieux and not him. Maybe things have changed in the interim years. Still love that first Zephyr print.

Re: For the love of maps...

You must have read my mind. I've been watching Pawn Stars and there was an episode where he bought some maps in London. And it resurfaced my urge to get some maps for the house I plan to buy. Those letterpress maps look incredible, think I will pick up the Ireland and Newport one. Thanks!! Yeah, I'...

Another great map producer: Quail Lane Press. https://www.etsy.com/shop/QuailLanePress?ref=pr2018_faveshops All her maps are letterpress and incredibly high quality and look amazing. She is west coast focused but plenty of other maps. I have both the Scotland and Wine Country maps. https://i.etsysta...

Just wanted to let everyone on this forum know about this dude's work. Ran across him recently on the interwebz. He draws custom state maps in the styl...

For the love of maps...

I'm a sucker for good looking maps, aesthetically pleasing maps. Could be real maps, fantasy ones, nautical, historical, vintage, modern, all styles of printing, etc. Essentially, all maps that look as good as art. I haven't seen a thread on here like this so I figured it might be interesting to sta...

Lord of Maps - LOTR-inspired state maps

I love a good aesthetically pleasing map and I am working on collecting different maps to have a "map room." Just wanted to let everyone on this forum know about this dude's work. Ran across him recently on the interwebz. He draws custom state maps in the style pioneered by JRR and Chris Tolkien. I ...
