Re: Laurent Durieux's Modes of Transportation

I did eventually request and receive a refund. I think I got 2 of the 6 posters. I always got the impression the delay was mostly Durieux and not him. Maybe things have changed in the interim years. Still love that first Zephyr print.

Re: For the love of maps...

You must have read my mind. I've been watching Pawn Stars and there was an episode where he bought some maps in London. And it resurfaced my urge to get some maps for the house I plan to buy. Those letterpress maps look incredible, think I will pick up the Ireland and Newport one. Thanks!! Yeah, I'...

Another great map producer: Quail Lane Press. https://www.etsy.com/shop/QuailLanePress?ref=pr2018_faveshops All her maps are letterpress and incredibly high quality and look amazing. She is west coast focused but plenty of other maps. I have both the Scotland and Wine Country maps. https://i.etsysta...

Re: For the love of maps...

I'll kick us off. Love this guy's work. I love a good aesthetically pleasing map and I am working on collecting different maps to have a "map room." Just wanted to let everyone on this forum know about this dude's work. Ran across him recently on the interwebz. He draws custom state maps in the styl...

For the love of maps...

I'm a sucker for good looking maps, aesthetically pleasing maps. Could be real maps, fantasy ones, nautical, historical, vintage, modern, all styles of printing, etc. Essentially, all maps that look as good as art. I haven't seen a thread on here like this so I figured it might be interesting to sta...

Lord of Maps - LOTR-inspired state maps

I love a good aesthetically pleasing map and I am working on collecting different maps to have a "map room." Just wanted to let everyone on this forum know about this dude's work. Ran across him recently on the interwebz. He draws custom state maps in the style pioneered by JRR and Chris Tolkien. I ...

Re: The Josh Keyes Thread

Really digging this one, and always a pleasure to support Tiny Showcase. https://www.tinyshowcase.com/shop/drift-by-josh-keyes Tiny Showcase is the drymounting worst. Those guys can go drymount themselves. I'll never forget them holding my money for 3 months without sending me my prints. Then when ...

Re: 2020 Elections - A New Hope

at least five Trump repubs I've talked to today said they took a Dem primary ballot yesterday just to vote for Bern. Wonder why they would do that?.. all of them say Bern would be easier for their beloved Trump to beat. Most of them agree Joe would be way more likely to win in a head to head agains...

Luls. Do they not allow mail-in voting? I dunno why the fug anyone wastes their time and goes to the polls anymore unless mail in voting ain't an option.
We do. But many of us, me included, did not make up our mind until post SC.

Re: 2020 Elections - A New Hope

As a Texan living in Harris County, I got to the polls right at 7:00 pm (cause I drymounting work and could not leave before then). I waited in line 2 hours and 15 minutes to vote for Joe. And supposedly some polling places are still open in Harris county. Bernie, ya done son. Pack it up, time to go...

Have I said I don't love the idea of people over 70 being POTUS?
This. Go away boomers. You drymounted everything up, get out of the way so someone else can fix it.
