Re: Framed James Jean Thread...

Really nice job Ben! I've looked at the snake skin at the framer numerous times scratching my head wondering wtf I'd use it for. A+!

Re: Mondo Poster News & Rumors

Can Funko Mondo just reprint any previous Mondo release now and make it a timed edition or open edition? Or do the artists still control the image? How does that work? Seems unlikely. Their contracts with most companies stipulate only so many can typically be printed, and I'd imagine contracts with...

Re: Framed Stuff Part 11

Picked these up from my local framer, been in flat storage for years. I've been working on getting all my mondo prints framed recently, sucks to hear about all the internal turmoil. Hopefully Mitch, rob and the gang start something even better. https://i.postimg.cc/xdtHwYqC/IMG-20230301-144341.jpg

Re: Mondo Poster News & Rumors

RIP. Mondo got me into collecting art in 2010. Very sad, but most saw the writing on the wall when Funko took over. Hopefully all the original creative team reforms their own thing and aren't beholden to corporate shareholders. I've already seen multiple big name mondo artist on Instagram pledging t...

Re: Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread

The Belcourt in Nashville would also be a solid choice. Granted of course I pick that one cause I live about 10 minutes from that theatre :pint: Not to change the subject here or anything, and I know it has been said several times already, but Slater's Close Encounters just looks so fantastic in pe...

Re: Poll: Stout vs. Moss

how is olly moss' set "clever?" i can understand if you think it's aesthetically pleasing, but "clever?" this is clever: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3458/3198823976_7a63e2d26e.jpg landscapes in the shadows of a gay robot and a bit character that was in the films for 4 minutes total is not. i'm n...

Re: Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread

Every time I see Lando on the Stout prints, I think of the Lil' Romeo song 'Parents Just Don't Understand' (read the lyrics if you don't know what I'm talking about) When I look at Lando on this print I think: "Hello, is it me your looking for?" http://nobelpeaceprize.org/concert/images/lionel_rich...

Re: Poll: Stout vs. Moss

Its really a tough call. Olly's pieces are more clever, and a clear high water mark in graphic design. As far as composition, and actual quality of art however, tyler knocks it out of the park. It really depends on what basis you are judging the pieces by. As far as advertisement for the films, obvi...

Re: Moving Packing

are you staying in Nashville baker? I personally would remove the art sandwiched between foamcore while you do major moving in and out of the house, but load the foamcore back into the flatfile when you are actually ready to drive it to the new location. Once there I would again remove the foamcore ...

Re: Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread

Even though florian's art is closer in style to Mike Mignola's, it just isn't appealing to me me. Everything looks way too flat with no real depth between the characters, the color pallet totally sucks making the image too dark, and its just overall not a very dynamic image. Its especially hard to e...

Re: What is your latest proud print acquisition?

Lol I was gonna post 'nice grinder' as well, especially after the snoop dog print at the end. That mogwai is f*cking sick, I really want to get one of those, probably one of my favorite pieces of drew's
