I'm a pretty big fan of Murakami, but this has by far been one of my favorites. It's long as hell though. I'm about 500 pages in.

I have the original and I appreciate it because it's not perfect, really great piece from some who was basically unknown at the time. I hope to see him do more gigposters in the future and not so many movie posters. I'd like to see a decent photo of the original for comparison. I'll try to get a go...

Film was rather meh, and I'd agree, that del Toro "recycled" a lot for Labyrinth, but that seems to be the case with some non-US filmmakers when they get some money in their hands The films were actually meant to be sister pieces, so that would explane the "recycling" Either way, I loved both Backb...
