Re: Database Entry Update Requests

Good stuff. Thanks for the update and the hard work all you admins do. Tip of the hat to the new mods. the new art queue is quite backed up. While we're working through it you can see what's pending here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cVXmyYtxQcE9-a7QYP8JY6oSCMhsh1WWALpM0tDIkj0/edit#gid=0 ...

I agree with Rubberneck that you can never have too many UM posters. That Petrie Frankenstein is very good.

Martin Ansin v Creature from the Black Lagoon, please! :)

Re: Is there any reason art would be refused from the database?

I saw other people post similar frustrations on Facebook the other day, so you're not alone. I think there's a big queue and the current admins are doing their research on submissions to ensure they're accurate. For some stuff, that's quick, for other stuff, it takes a while. The owners (or folk wit...

Re: Database Entry Update Requests

I submitted a new print to the database a few days ago. How long does it usually take for it to appear? Can I get any help with my entry? Thank you. On a related note - Mods: a couple of people said they submitted the complete Mondo Godzilla show, but I can't see the Matt Taylor in the DB. Is it in...

Re: Spring Shelter 20 Durieux

I think this is a good piece to describe how some people have just spent a bunch of time on technology or to show how people can have an awesome life (pool and dope house), but only be satisfied by technology. I took it as a "stay home, stay safe" message - the phone light creating a protective fac...

Re: The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou 20 Ananphada

I think it was supposed to be sold at a BNG screening, but due to COVID-19, it was cancelled and Joe dropped it in Ise's Facebook fan group instead. I like it, her style is a good match for all the quirky little details that you get in Wes Anderson films. It goes nicely with her print for The Grand ...

Ugh, I got that glitch that dumps you back out to the home page on the final step. Never mind, plenty more fish in the sea.

Re: Covid-19 - Set for 40-70% of Population

Good luck, Blue. Bark a loud "Keep back" order at anyone that comes within 2m of you. My wife made the trip the supermarket yesterday. She said that now the initial panic buying has worn off a bit, people were being quite polite and civil (keeping distance, queuing in an orderly manner etc). That's ...

Re: Laurent Durieux - Appreciation & Discussion

I think Jaws is a top 3 Mondo all-timer. The fin is just spot on - slap bang in the middle, black and menacing, particularly against the colourful and tranquil surroundings...yet surprisingly missed by many people the first few times they look. Kastel’s art is so iconic, to create something so fresh...

Huh?
Kurtz put up an Indy portrait for sale (think it was a run of 50). It sold out, but a short while later, he said the drop was a mistake and refunded everyone.
