Re: Chinatown 24 Durieux
I think the narrative focus here is the contrast of the idyllic neighbourhoods, shown in the rearview mirror of Jake’s watchful eye, representing the corrupt and powerful who are sabotaging the baron landscape for their own gain. Then there is Evelyn, just a mysterious faceless and disposable victim...

Re: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 24 Taylor
Not sure I like the 50/50 distribution of title and illustration but I get the intention and it's nice to see some experimental typography on an alternative movie poster

and from a customer perspective, if the inventory loads on your computer and you have decent internet speed but the item is sold out already, then it's likely been bottedsidewaysscott wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 2:25 pmfrom a curiosity perspective, I've seen this before. How are you able to identify a bot purchase vs. non-bot purchase?

Re: Laurent Durieux - Appreciation & Discussion
im not saying more official posters dont have art direction, but i think the notion your floating is that its more than commissions, and its probably about the same. That's a very naive and odd take. I mean you can't compare an experienced creative team of art directors and graphic designers collab...

Re: EB Art of the Year
This dude treating it like the Oscars man, we get it, stop painting with broad strokes and assuming anyone that doesn’t take the awards THIS seriously is a noob or rigging the voting system. Why the hell does it mean so much to you anyway? Yes it isn’t right it won the gig poster category and argua...

Re: EB Art of the Year
or just get rid of the awards all together Hmm… It will avoid Call Of Duty 19 from sweeping all three catagories next January… and a bunch of noobs saying it’s no big deal. Intriguing. On a serious note: If I were Mr EB, or accepted the invites to be a mod years ago, I’d implement the Poster Of The...

Re: Ghost of Tsushima 23 Kontou
If this site had a much wider reach in terms of influence and audience I could appreciate the concern a bit more, but as it stands I don't think the awards mean much they are just a bit of fun. In the old days, a decade and a half before you showed up pissing all over, it was a respected acknowledg...

Re: Ghost of Tsushima 23 Kontou
^ Yeah, I would think the latter as well. Ideally, I would think, there should be a “bootleg” or “private commission” category where all these type of posters should go and then they can hype it up all they want. I realize that there is already a whole bunch of such posters in various categories wh...

guessing jpeg might be extenuating :ziggi: 12 x 24 folios? think we looked into a smaller one at one point and it didn't really make much sense. Unless there is like an artist who wants to do an emboss or something i guess. Like I wonder if Jason would one want one for his eyes Pollock has done a t...

Re: EB Art of the Year
^ “Bluey” is 4th place in the “poster of the year”. Astro boy is second place in the art print of the year. And so on. Lol. What’s the point? It’s a joke. Exactly! Why is Astro Boy listed as an Art Print when it’s an obvious Movie Poster? I’m tired of everyone playing dumb, who is gonna take owners...
