same with the paper for firestarter. still my prized joy, that.
might get upstaged when some tubes start coming in the mail...
i have been spending some time trying to figure out how i want to frame this pup when it gets here.
did any of you see that vandal airways that was framed up and had the colo(u)rs at the bottom of the frame handfinished? i thought it was quite nice, do you think subtle yellow and black from where his wings are coming undone and falling would look tacky?
In my minds eye i dont think i would like that, this is a big print and you dont really wont to be taking away from the image in anyway also if you dont match colour exactly it would look a bit off, just my 2cents. Are you going to frame it your self???
my mind's eye can't decide. will be much easier when print is here. i had never thought of frames like that until i saw some for neisbw and that vandal airways. i think you are right about the size and colours. i highly doubt i will frame this myself, but i do need to learn sometime.

i am waiting on (more than a couple) tubes so we will see which hits the front of the framing queue as well, though i think icarus is in pole position. already got a spot picked out :ziggi:

23th place! how do you say 23th? this should've been top 5! robbed and kicked in the face with the th instead of the rd.

is the signature and numbering on the gray part of the print? i certainly hope so. and i agree with the good doctor. i do not want the text on the bottom of my print but regardless, i'm matting out the white on this print.

The pics on page 12 appear to show that the embossed stamp as well as the signature/numbering is all inside the grey area....which is nice, because as others have said - framing out the white is the way to go.

the other thing to remember about this print is that it's 35.5 x 23.6 in inches (90 x 60 cm in Europe) which means that you'll be cutting it close with matting and glass costs as once you go over 40 inches in matting and 40 inches in glass your price to frame rises significantly. i'm hoping that by matting out the white border and possibly a bit of the gray that i can still accomplish what i'm looking to do otherwise it's going to be extra $$$ for a couple of inches.

had it been released earlier in the year, it would hav faired way better... it's like the Emmy's- Breaking Bad season 4 will start in the summer and even though Bryan Cranston has won Best Actor for all three of it's seasons, he will NOT be eligible this year. (nor will Aaron Paul who won best supporting last year for that matter)

ian what's up with your regular edition? why does she look lighter on the sun and then darker below? is that just your camera? why isn't she one solid black color? the gold looks beautiful.

I think it's just due to the camera flash. There's no noticeable colour change to the naked eye.
