thanks Ashton. sometimes when you work in the music industry you're forced to take notice of things that make money instead of what you like! that said, BIEBER IS THE FUTURE! that kid is gold. gold jerry gold!

Hey db,
I love the marbled mat on your Ben Harper, but not so much on the Tool. Also, the "Lady" mat/frame job is way cool!
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

We need a thread with just your "quotes" on the music industry. I think you are 0/3 on your predictions so far. EM, Kanye and now Bieber. GOD what is happening to you my friend......

i don't. i have nightmares about posters and music. no joke. that Hunter quote has always been the best but i also worked in film/tv for 10 years and it's the exact same. Rick, thank you. i've always wanted some stuff with velvet mats so i stole the idea for Tool and Harper from others here. i think they both work pretty well. i could've easily gone with a white mat and black double mat but the velvet worked for me. i'm also recently addicted to fillets and can't stop.

gonzo, my only words of advice are a double edged sword. i would say never work in an industry that you're passionate about as a hobby! i loved film more than life itself and then i worked in it and then i hated movies. i swore i'd never work in music and now i do and condone/pimp artists like Biebs and Kanye and get more and more frustrated every day with music.

Hey db,
I hope you have lots of cash when you dive into those fillets. Done right, they turn decent images into museum-looking masterpieces, enhancing prints unbelievably. The net is that the extra money is worth it to someone who's interested in the classy, quality look this type of framing yields, which it looks like you want. I'll have to snap a pic of an old Breeder's Cup print I had framed with a fillet, and post it here. It's been on the walls of my home for 20 years or so, and I never get tired of looking at it.

Probably not everyone's cup of tee but I like it, I'm a sucker for an OG nature scene that's already framed
