buy two pieces of foamcore, stick poster in between, and clip them together.

I have a huge piece of cardboard layered in acid free paper that I put all of my posters on and they flatten...it is my cheap flatfile.

if you're not in a rush and have the space (ie no kids or pets that will enter the room), I allow my prints to naturally unroll for a day or 2. I just open the tube, take the print out, and let them unfurl on their own. They'll lose that tight wind up pretty soon. Then I can easily place them between foam core without them trying to immediately roll themselves back up.

That sounds easier than what I do. Is foam core available at Michaels or places like that?

about $5 bucks for a full sized sheet at Hobby Lobby. $12 or so for the acid-free kind.

A large piece of drywall works really well, if you have the space to spare on a large flat desk. It also removes moisture from the print.

I get mine (backing boards) at jerry's...if you're in no hurry to get them. They have a variety of thickness...I got the 1/8" since I'm using them with Krystal Seal art bags for storing prints. Works out nicely until I can get a portfolio.

Edit: Just noticed the 3 day sale at jerry's. 15% off w/free shipping for orders over $99.

believe it or not, we make 'em. ;) You can also stack pieces of glass and wrap it in tape, paper and fabric.
