Brooks Salzwedel
oday, days are glorious, and what better way to crown it than welcoming Brooks Salzwedel back to Tiny Showcase.
Let's hear it for mysterious, isolated forests sprouting faint architectures, seeping through thick mists and into your sightlines. Let's hear it for clusters of hovering woods trailing rootlines through the clouds. Were you on that island you could hear the twigs snap beneath your sneaks, stained with cloud water at the top from kicking through the the high grass, the dampness collected on everything. Yesterday I lay in the grass and watched a set of clouds evaporate like spots of snow in warm water as they moved steadily across my line of vision. It didn't even feel precious, it just felt right. And then it felt lucky to see something new, something for the first time, something that didn't involve data plans or genetically modified wireless networks.
