Ditto, just got the tweet at 11:04am PST. I had been checking twitter online but wouldn't cha know it a manager came up to my desk at JUST the right moment. oh well, no cash to spare anyway so not meant to be.

I guess there's no substitute for sitting in front of the drymounting computer all day and refreshing.

I got the "All gone" tweet on my iPhone several minutes after sell out. About a minute later, I got the original tweet with the sale link. It seems that the mobile tweets were wonky today. In fact, I just now got the Mondo retweet from 19 minutes ago. So my iPhone was not helping.

I noticed that the RSS Feed page for Olly's Twitter account stopped working and turned into a dead link twenty minutes or so before the sale. I wonder if the mobile Twitter updating relies on the RSS feed, which was down at the time. It's working again, which might explain why the tweets are late getting to our mobile phones.

Yeah I got the mobile tweet 16 minutes late but that is Twitter's fault, not Olly's. But he did say that they would be up within the next two hours so that isn't a very large window to whine about having to be on the computer all day. His Locke drop and this was very well done.

Twitter is pretty unreliable.

During the last Mondo drop, they were over capacity the entire time. I don't think I received their tweet until more than 20min into the sale, which would have been far too late for a lot of prints.

Too bad C4C doesn't have a mobile text alert.

No, I'm absolutely not upset with Olly. I know it's not really even Twitter's fault, but mine. Just like I don't rely on McCarthy's emails for his drops, I shouldn't have relied on Twitter to get this print. I think I'm about 0 for 7 on Moss drops now.

And yes, thank you for pointing out my whining. It's called sour grapes.

I use twitter as sort of a back up to my enjoying quality time with my F5 key. I don't blame twitter nor Olly. I blame the IT project manager that walked past 3 other people in the room to come to my desk at the exact inopertune moment to ask about a project I'm not even involved in. Downside of being the de facto "Queen of QA" in my IT dept.
