I actually bet that the person will be happy - if you dn't want to shell out for a large one, this can be a "better" option...

PJ charlotte 96 is quite possibly my favorite emek print.....so, maybe you're right, they'll probably be somewhat happy.

so, no one finds it odd that the last two PJ posters sold for the same price. Nor, did anyone else find it strange that the buyer of the first was the seller of the second?

The second one was only signed and not doodled which was the difference between the two. I still find it wierd that they both went for the same price. Ebay is getting rediculous when it comes to people "setting prices" or even you have to watch out for the second chance offers

This may be common knowledge, I don't know, but Emek printed the handbills when he left the LA gallery in early '03. He printed these so that (along with the Ministry, Tool, etc.) he could send them to perspective clients to show them some of his previous work. When I asked him about the handbills, his comment was, "they are neither old nor original".

Anyone else think that the signature on the poster listed on EBAY right now looks fake? Notice the M on EMEK's signature...I have quite a few of signed EMEK's and I am sure there are people out there that have more than I do. Never have I seen one signed like this. EMEK does not connect the letters the only thing connecting is the K and this K looks off too. I say this is a fake. Below is a picture taken from the auction in question.
It is Item #200102313058 What do you guys think?

Also too...notice on the year..the little ' indicating year is done the wrong way...EMEK always marks this ' the other way...left to right. This one goes right to left.

i think it's real. he signed that thing a looong time ago. sure, his sig doesnt look like that anymore, and i've never seen one like that but i still think it's legit. if i were interested in the poster i'd surely email that pic to him. he;ll tell ya if it's legit or not. i've done it before.

Seriously..look at all of your EMEKS. I have looked at ones before and after. None are signed like that. Actually his signature has remained pretty consistent throughout the years.
