'My Brother was a hero...' VARIANT
The current 'hot' practice in the contemporary print world is that of making 'variants' ( special 'additional' versions of a released print, containing color changes in ink or paper ). In an attempt to take this basic idea a step further, Jermaine has created a VARIANT print to his 'My Brother was a hero...' art print.

About this print, Jermaine says:

'It's a variant in the truest sense, I think. In the aesthetic sense. It's a variation on the idea and the imagery depicted in the regular 'hero' print. It's not just a color change in ink or printing the same image on a different color stock...but a variant take on the actual content of the print. It feels a bit more substantial, I think. I'll do this again.'

Cool... night vision goggle view... k... let me try interpret this.. definitely political.. colonial undertones.. Rabbit - English settlers. Raccoons - natives, colored, "coons" (not trying to offend anyone I'm colored myself).. Indian War from the 1630's - 1900... Otherwise Whites v Coloreds, Occupation... Iraq... Blackwater.. Great print... strange, weird but meaningful. Again did not mean to offend anyone just the way I see.... Ok! Ok! I'll lay down before I hurt myself

A cute twist on terrorism? I like Jermaine but think I'll pass on this.

ugh.. I've been refreshing all afternoon to try and pick these up.. while on the phone with Dalek's office in California they dropped and I missed out on the variant, which is the one I wanted the most. Picked up the other two. If anyone decides they don't want the variant, let me know and I'll definitely make right by you on it.
