I thought Vice was great. If you liked the Big Short its worth seeing.

I agree with Paul. If you liked THE BIG SHORT, you should enjoy VICE as well. Bale is his usual brilliant self, Amy Adams turns in an enjoyable performance as his wife Lynne and Steve Carell is great as Rumsfeld.

I saw the Favourite a few nights ago. Great movie, although I admit to already being a fanboy of the director.

But the best flick I saw this year was Leave No Trace.

ESCAPE ROOM was better than I was anticipating. I felt it had a lackluster of an ending but prior to that, it was a pretty fun, and at times, pulse raising ride. Not overly grotesque as it's PG-13 and while I can't endorse everyone to see it at the theater, I would recommend catching it when it's available on a streaming service/HBO.

I saw BUMBLEBEE yesterday. I went in with some high expectations after the amount of positive reviews the film garnered and while it was an enjoyable, at times heartfelt, nostalgic film, by the end of it I was kind of burnt out (either from the movie itself or the TRANSFORMERS franchise as a whole). Not a bad film in any sense and definitely better than probably the last 3 or 4 installments of the franchise, but I could go a few more years without another.

I had heard a lot of good things about Mid90s but I found it to be pretty mediocre (killer soundtrack though).

The Rider was excellent. Definitely worth checking out.

I just got finished watching this and I liked it. Not sure how often I'll view it and it did move rather slowly at times but overall, I thought it was a fun ride.

Watched Hagazussa last night. It's kinda the slow cinema version of The Witch by way of Antichrist. It was also a student film, which blows my goddamn mind. It could likely end up on my top ten list I posted a day or so ago. Folk horror fans will probably dig it.
