Can someone explain the red "stamp" on the Ikebana prints?
I'm not someone else.
He uses that on a lot of things. I think it's his name in kanji, but I'm sure one of the OGs will be along to correct me if I'm wrong.GoBluePanic wrote:Can someone explain the red "stamp" on the Ikebana prints?

I'm really waffling on Ikebana 2.5
I scooped up I and II regs, but I'm thinking 2.5 being a giclee won't pair well with the screenprints because the background gray will probably differ. On the other hand the embossing on 2.5 looks awesome.
Change my mind

But really, if you like the image, then go for it. It's not like you're going to ship them all to Framing Devil to all be framed in the same frame with owl feathers and barn scraps, or are you?
Aaron is known to be picky AF. Generally a giclee matches the original better, so I'm guessing it will be a faithful reproduction. Additionally, this uses a print technique that he hasn't used before, and he seems very excited about it (based on context, not actual knowledge). This was ultimately what pushed me over the edge.TKuczynski wrote:I'm really waffling on Ikebana 2.5

A section of a new drawing bound for the @uptowntattoo Legacy group exhibition, (turn the above carousel for a glimpse of the ridiculous line-up). The show celebrates the 19th anniversary of the venerable Minneapolis tattoo destination as well as their recent remodel/physical overhaul & opens next Friday, the 7th of December at Hang It framing gallery in the frigid, windswept climes of Minneapolis, MINN. #aaronhorkey #thevacvvm #highprairiedrifters #somehowinashowwithwilliamstout

Anyone else having a tough time getting in touch with Mitch through the Vacvvm email (or the P&T email)? I've been waiting on a response about a damaged print since September and it's been crickets.
EDIT: Resolved! I guess my emails were going to a spam folder

Odd, I reached out to him about something a couple of weeks ago and he responded the next day, you might try again, good luck!caseyg1986 wrote:Anyone else having a tough time getting in touch with Mitch through the Vacvvm email (or the P&T email)? How do you do the instagram thing again? Or does it not work anymore? Regardless:mfaith wrote:

Just take the ID portion of the url (in this case BNaDPlngkYR) and surround it with the instagram tag (or click the instagram button above the text entry box and paste the ID in).jjbehren wrote: How do you do the instagram thing again? Or does it not work anymore? Regardless:
