Gallery price on Dolly Varton was 81,000円 (about a $10 difference from the Adachi Hanga price). 40 were available at the opening (from the same edition as the Adachi Hanga prints). The Kitten Rescue print offered at the gallery ( dubbed the Kaikaikiki edition) was 55,000円 and from an edition of 50. As was mentioned before, the embossment is pink and has blue foil detailing.

By the time the show started, most everything was sold. I think a couple paintings were on hold but accepting a waitlist, and 2-3 sketches were still available, but those were gone fairly quickly too.

Similar to the previous shows. One of the paintings was about $60k. Letter sized sketches were $3-4k.

I suppose I could catch the shinkansen to Tokyo and pick up a print in person.

But naaa. Instead I will return to my favorite place in the known Universe: the Higashiyama :notworthy:

I enjoyed this interview a lot
It was a good listen. I could listen to that guy a lot more -- really grounded, fun to hear about his life.

The Kitten piece is the first piece of his I'll be hanging. Love it so much.
