Japan's industry ministry plans to support the domestic development of flying cars.
The ministry sees such vehicles as a potential new growth sector.
The ministry plans to form an expert panel that will discuss preparing a proper business environment, such as supporting the development of key parts.
The panel will also talk about operational rules and safe vehicle bodies.
The ministry will take the discussions into account for creating a schedule to put flying cars into practical use.
German venture firm Volocopter has developed a 2-seat craft equipped with electric propellers. It conducted a test-flight of the vehicle in the United Arab Emirates last September.
US ride hailing service operator Uber said it would tie up with NASA and seek to hold a verification test of its own flying car in Los Angeles and elsewhere in 2020.
Japanese group Cartivator is developing a small flying car with the goal of using it to light the 2020 Tokyo Olympic flame. It receives investment from Toyota Motor and other companies.

Man you would have to gotten the air martial to hold be down if any one suggested my puppy had to ride the whole way in the overhead bin. Maybe for take off and landing, but past that you would have had to kick me off the plane.earlgreytoast wrote:Sorry, I have zero sympathy for those people. How you gonna let a stranger shove your dog in an airplane overhead compartment and leave it there for hours without checking on it? Because of turbulence? Fuuuuuuck that. Poor little pup suffocated.
The owners are not blameless either. How did they think a 3 month old Frenchie puppy was going to do stuck in the bin? If it were me I would have had the overhead open the second the captain turned off the seatbelt light. And would gladly go to jail for disrupting a flight if anyone told me I had to put him back.
I need more. Nothing seems to satisfy. I don't want it. I just need it. To feel, to breathe, to know I'm alive. - MJK

I just saw the airplane dog lady on the news, and they say she doesn’t speak English well. If that’s really true, then I guess I would place more of the blame of the airline in that case.

I'm on an epoxy resin craze, these days. As I was looking for inexpensive things to make, I stumbled across a DIY making 1" beads. Since I've never made these before I didn't have the proper paper to use, so I printed my own. I have no idea how I will use them yet. These are, pretty much, an experiment to see what happens when I coat them with the clear epoxy resin.

Check out the construction workers on the extreme left on top of the walkway next to crane. They drop a few milliseconds after bridge. That's one hard landing.
Looks like crane hook follows them down too.
