I got one of these too. No idea what it is, but it's nice. Would be great to be able to put an artist to it.Sneakysnake wrote:Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this - sorry if it's not - but I ordered my first mystery tube from HCG and have been able to identify all the prints except one. I contacted HCG directly but they weren't much help. I would really appreciate it if someone here could point me in the right direction.
It measures 24x24 and the japanese translation is gojira (obviously) but there is no sig, numbering, or markings of any kind, front or back. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

You know, I never noticed it before, but the car on the BTTF is bothering me. It looks like the front is at a different angle than the windshield and door, and my brain can't unfold it in a way that makes sense.

The flames are also weirdly overlaid the wheels and front of the car. Definitely janky, always bugged me.KSUvet wrote:You know, I never noticed it before, but the car on the BTTF is bothering me. Don't have a source, but I read somewhere that Struzan painted the time machine that way so the poster wouldn't spoil the big reveal.raphulysses wrote:The flames are also weirdly overlaid the wheels and front of the car. Still better than this tho, right?
I mean, yeah, because the Struz is a classic, but that's a pretty epic 80s poster though. Was that actually released as a onesheet because I've never seen that image before?rubberneck wrote:Still better than this tho, right?

I've always noticed both those things. I'd love to hear Struzan explain it.raphulysses wrote:The flames are also weirdly overlaid the wheels and front of the car. Sound probable, I guess. If you look at the poster for II and III the Delorean is much more identifiable.BackToTheFutureFan wrote: Don't have a source, but I read somewhere that Struzan painted the time machine that way so the poster wouldn't spoil the big reveal.

It was an unused concept poster, it sold for £700 hammer (+BP). I think it’s a really cool poster!KSUvet wrote:I mean, yeah, because the Struz is a classic, but that's a pretty epic 80s poster though.
