2017 movie, but I saw it in 2018; The Phantom Thread. Really, really great. Was lucky enough to catch it in 70mm at the ArcLight in Hollywood.

Can't help but think Randy Ortiz would do a great, unexpected, piece for it.

Yeah, I can't wait to see Phantom Thread again. Beautiful to look at, killer score, and solid acting from the 3 leads. I miss the look of light and shadows on actual film.

I could live to be 1000 and never have the confidence that Daniel Day Lewis has during this film/in life.

Not 100% sure but it seems like The Man Who Killed Don Quixote might get released this year. If so, that's got to be #1 on my most looking forward to list.

Im very excited to see phantom thread again.

also very happy to have a few theaters around here showing PTA films in 35mm.

i think i've only seen Boogie Nights one time, revisiting it again in 35mm is crucial.

I could talk about Magnolia for days and days. The making of doc is a go-to whenever I need something in the background. PTA is so damn charming

Back to 2018; saw Phantom Thread twice and the second time is even better. You notice so many minor details you glazed over during the first viewing.

And if we don't get an LD print of Daniel Day-Lewis watching Vicky Kreips walk up the mountain to go skiing, I'll riot.

When Magnolia first came out, I drove a couple hours to see it and was blown away. Listened to that soundtrack for months.

It was one of the first solo road trips I ever took just to watch a movie. The theater was empty. Good times.

Another early road trip for the sake of a film was a six hour round trip drive to watch Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. So good I watched it twice in a row.

Paddington 2 is clever, fun, and super charming. Highly recommended if you like the first one.
