Fun thread. Lots of great stuff in here

I've scaled back quite a bit over the last couple years and have focused on collecting quality posters for movies that I really like.

João Ruas' Ran (Jiro) is my favorite poster of 2017. Ran is a magnificent film - my favorite by Kurosawa - and all 3 of Ruas' posters for it are stunning. Taro is the biggest, but Jiro is the most striking.

The hype is real. Matthew Woodson's 2001: A Space Odyssey is ethereal. 2001 is one of my all-time favorite movies and I love purple prints.

Image

As a collector of Kilian Eng Sci-fi movie posters and a huge fan of Blade Runner, I was thrilled to add these to the collection. Not sure which I prefer.

Image

Gilles Vranckx's Le Samourai posters look like Criterion covers. I like them both, but lean towards the variant (on the left).

More 2001: A Space Odyssey, this time by Kevin Tong. Variant ftw. The foil has a cool effect when the light hits hit.

Bring on 2018 :pint:

Seems like an oxymoron coming from RA imo :P
Srysly doe great pick up thread this year, y'all killin it. On that note, has there ever been a "worst pick ups of xxxx" thread? Could be a fun and, or at least grossly interesting discourse. Would def compensate for all these effing holiday vibes, but i guess there are asshole altoids that would some how ruin a thing like that.

Happy Holidays ya EBers!

Yes, that is by Lindsey Carr. It's watercolor and a pigment made of ground gold suspended in gum Arabic. At least that is how I remember her describing it. Her work blows me away.
