Goonies is good. And he makes good gp's. So I would hardly say he lost his mojo. I would say making trailer and promo based posters does not maximize his mojo.RottenAtom wrote:Last good Stout poster was nearly 5 years ago (AtB). He is now a handbill/sticker artist.
Question of the day:
Who lost their mojo first? Olly Moss or Tyler Stout

Goonies variant is so so. The reg is wretched. Not a fan of the GPs at all. I agree about the promo based posters. I would love to see Stout (and Moss) knock one out of the park soon. Rooting for them (but calling it like I see it...)Kramerica wrote:Goonies is good. And he makes good gp's. So I would hardly say he lost his mojo. Seems to be more like likeness rights in general are getting harder to get unless it's the new ZOMG SUPER HERO jawn so duke doesn't have as many opportunities to make a poster for a decent movie.

Very good point. Time for Stout to embrace the commission scene.Codeblue wrote:Seems to be more like likeness rights in general are getting harder to get unless it's the new ZOMG SUPER HERO jawn so duke doesn't have as many opportunities to make a poster for a decent movie.

AtB is one of my favorite Stouts comp wise. Whiffed on the sheets, sticker packs as well. I ended up grabbing an Alien var, and preordered a calendar as well (cool colorways/ image looked great). Congrats to any EB metal heads who copped.

I agree, esp in the case of his "Alien" poster, i could cur less about (most) Marvel stuff, my favorite all time comp by TS is his "Let the Right one in".Codeblue wrote:Seems to be more like likeness rights in general are getting harder to get unless it's the new ZOMG SUPER HERO jawn so duke doesn't have as many opportunities to make a poster for a decent movie.

^Love LTROI. Quad is my favorite, followed by the reg. The variants don't have the same impact without the red.
I may have mentioned this before, but Oskar in LTROI has an uncanny resemblance to pictures of my father when he was young. Kinda weird.
