i've been saying for a while that is been an odd year from me. being an artist whos traditionally made personal work that is intimate and inwardly focused; but existing in the climate of 2017 where all my anxiety and worries are outwardly focused on the world. i don't know what that art looks like for me yet, trying to be myself and create work within my odd and quiet aesthetic but having this looming doom on the horizon that is more powerful and engulfing than my own trivial fudge. i've gotten some grief from people who seem to just want me and my work to be escapism, for me to not lean political in any way; but this is where i'm at: im just kinda angry and stuck. pictured is a mash of elements that are all very me, with callbacks to previous works of mine, but the focus is the looming distance and that fear.
or its a pretty ghost girl floating in an abandoned amusement park. your choice really.

Went to DD's storenvy for deets on the release of 'I get to be angry too'. While there, I grabbed a 'when you and sleep escape me' b&w edition.

I really dig this b&w image, the contrast makes Daniel's illustration really pop.

He's had situations like "yes, but i never had a plan" which could have been used for a gigposter over the past summer but that hasn't happened so far. See what might or might not happen...
