I like it.

A lot of his "new era" work has a Wittfooth vibe imo. For me personally, it's not as interesting as the old style but props for Josh for continuing to explore this new direction.

I don't mind his art at all and most artists stick to a certain style which doesn't bother me at all, but it seems he is trying to completely go off on a different direction with stuff lately and it's just seems off. Who gives a fudge if you never change much. If you are good at something stick with it. The introduction of the tagging was...different and now this is just way out there and quite frankly ugly. No offense, but wings on a polar bear? meh. As unique and out there as his stuff can be it's never crazy made up fantasy animals...for the most part. I do like that elk that has its antlers turning into branches, but I have always liked Keyes because of the great detail and painting of real animals. I can see where this is coming from I suppose.

IDK it's the only thing I have seen like this that's that far out there. Probably get to see some more related stuff in the future and I might warm up to it.

Still heart you Josh.

Wittfooth is on another level now, he developed his style amazingly and his technique and concepts go hand in hand beautifully.

An artist has to follow his heart, but after Josh left his well known style he hasn’t found his own path with this new era, to me it seems he’s mostly fumbling in the dark.

I liked “I’ll Love You...” though.

Lifted was my gateway into this whole world. It will always be my favorite style and will miss it.

Lifted was a beauty, so many iconic works from that era.

I don't know folks. I reckon people would complain if he was still releasing cross slice pieces all the time. We'd hear, "that's tired, donsomething dofferent for a change." But people seem to like repetition (see Welker, spusta, Masthay) same drymountin fudge time after time.

It's still a comment on our future, so I think he stayed in his lane while expanding. I don't really see it as too much of a new direction.

Do i love it as much as something like last kiss? No, but it's still fantastic.

"Here's the thing," she said forcefully. "You have two options. You can stay the same and protect the formula that gave you your initial success. They're going to crucify you for staying the same. If you change, they're going to crucify you for changing. But staying the same is boring. And change is interesting. So of the two options," she concluded cheerfully, "I'd rather be crucified for changing."

-Joni Mitchell, 1979

Just came across this quote in a long Rolling Stone article and it made me think of this thread, among many others. My girl Joni is so wise.
