Does anyone have any experience utilizing or opinions on using vertical flat files. I'm looking to purchase this (see link) as an alternative to a large traditional drawer flat file. I live in NYC and space is at a premium, this seems like a good alternative. I'm just getting into screen print collecting and I don't want to purchase anything that will damage my relatively modest sized collection.

I've also considered a vertical flat file, so hopefully we can get some insight from folks who actually have experience using them. Alternatively, if you do start noticing your prints getting wavy in there, I dont see any reason you couldnt just lay that one on it's side and slide it under the bed
I've used one of those for quite sometime now. I put my prints in protective sleeves w/backboard when used vertically. I current have mine horizontal under my bed. (I had to put my bed on risers to do this.)
Also, make SURE that Amazon deal is for the v-files WITH THE BOX. In the past, I've noticed the description of the item is a little deceiving and what they're selling is only the v-files.

Krystal Seal Brand sleeves; however, I just discovered that Jerry's seems to have since discontinued the 30" x 42" size I previously purchased. I looked for another source for this size and didn't find anything. Maybe you will have better luck.
I can't remember the brand name of the foam board that I purchased. Any acid free foam board will work. The size I purchased was 30 x 42 and looks to be 1/8" thick. I bought 30" x 42" on both sleeves and boards. I used large photo corners (self-sticking) to center my 24 x 36 prints on the boards.
I did not use the photo corner approach on 18 x 24 prints - they are fine without centering w/corners.
