Very much like the painting by Kustusch. After spending the last two hours with a large cup of coffee reading through your art blog and visiting the various links you provide, I think you acquired my favorite painting from Lindsey's show. And I can't write enough good things about your blog. Heartfelt, chock full of information, and gorgeous photos of a wide variety of art, I have bookmarked My Latest Layaway and expect to routinely check in and read what you have discovered and what you have to say about art. I might add, I'm following up on two leads you provided, and hope to add two new pieces to my collection. If this comes to pass, I'll give you a shout out and let you know.
As an aside, did you see the article in today's New York Times about Emily Carr? Oddly, it is in the Travel section, not Arts, but I think it might interest you.

@treweman Thank you very much for the kind words; they are greatly appreciated.
I just read the article, based on your recommendation. It was a great read and reminded me of home. She was an amazing artist and associated with the 'Group of Seven' although, I don't think she is technically included. Either way, thank you for the head's up (and the kind words!)

I bought the small original pastel by Sergio Lopez titled Sagiso. I've wanted one of his pieces for a while now, and your blog pushed me into action. I decided not to wait for his upcoming show, as I really liked the image and the price was hard to beat.ochonueve wrote:And I'm extremely curious to see what you may purchase! Good luck with the acquisitions!
