Nakatomi was contracted by Metallica's VIP merch company to art direct and organize and print the entire North American poster series.
There were 2250 prints produced for the VIP tickets for this show, and Emek will have his own copies for sale on his website.

The majority of the posters produced for the tour and VIP tickets were off-set printed, the artists editions (AP's) were almost all screen-printed and either sold through Nakatomi or on the respective artists' websites. The silkscreen editions were not available at the shows. (Except for Jesse Philip's print, which was screenprinted for both the VIP and AP editions).

I hope that clarifies it.

Emek as always is a joy to work with, and turned in an amazing piece.
The VIP posters were printed on actual metal .. and there's 2250 of those? Why aren't there any on ebay yet, I wonder :)
The answer to your question above.

No not really, I assumed the VIP posters were on metal. Looks like they are not. Auction site has the 'printed on thick metal edition' out of 25.

the metal is on norby's auction? if so that explains why they havent responded to wishlist requests. they have to set the market value first.
