Looks like the cat's out of the bag! To say I'm proud to have worked on this artwork is an understatement, it means the world to me and I have my friend @bhinds to thank for inviting me to bring his vision to life. A real honour. More on all of this soon!
So new Mastodon as well? Didn't Emperor of Sand just come out this year?

Seems it was originally supposed to be the second part of a double album, with EOS being the first part.Kramerica wrote:So new Mastodon as well? Didn't Emperor of Sand just come out this year?
Ahhh. It's been downhill since Crack the Skye for me, hoping someday they go back to being more proggy. My son loves Emperor of Sand though, so that's something.FrankBooth wrote:Seems it was originally supposed to be the second part of a double album, with EOS being the first part.Kramerica wrote:So new Mastodon as well? 'COLD DARK PLACE' is a large silk screen reproduction of the full artwork created for MASTODON's new E.P. of the same name. The illustration depicts a vision described by Mastodon Guitarist Brent Hinds, intrinsically tying in with themes from the record.
You can find out more about the creation of this piece in the short film "Cold Dark Place: The Story Behind The Cover Art". (YouTube)
This is the only time that the artwork will be printed in it's full portrait form.

Notes for Collectors:
This set is strictly limited to 150 prints, hand numbered, embossed and signed by the artist.
