Thanks everyone who purchased CHOCOLATE this week.
My copies of ALIENS has arrived and look great! VGKIDS really put my mind at ease with the printing since this was the first time I had one of my charcoals converted to be screenprinted. Matt Ferguson did a awesome job on the seps. Shipping has begun on them and I believe there is a few left at greymatterart.com if you wanna pick one up! Next print release is in July... working out details now.

Newbie question here. What are AP#1s?
So, AP stands for Artist Proof, and an AP edition is a smaller edition (usually significantly), separate from the main edition the publisher sells, which the artist gets to sell directly. Its original intent was as the name would suggest, a means for an artist to check the quality of the print job to ensure they're up to expectations. But nowadays it really just serves as a supplemental form of income for an artist on top of what they're paid for the commission itself. They're usually baked into the agreement an artist has with the publisher. Print houses will also typically get an even small Printers Proof (PP) edition to sell.drmastertot wrote:Newbie question here. What are AP#1s?
What Tim is saying here, is that he's including #1s from his AP editions in his mystery tube sale
So it goes...

Correct. AP #1s usually NEVER see the light of day as we keep them for ourselves. In these tubes I will be including certain #1's from 2012-2016.mfaith wrote:drmastertot wrote:Newbie question here. What are AP#1s?
