What are you watching.....RIGHT NOW!!!
Started watching The West Wing on Saturday.
It consumed my weekend and is now bleeding over into the week...
I see Aaron Sorkin left after season 4. Was the quality the same after that? Or is it a good place to stop?

Just finished Black Sails s1. Was really expecting this show to be super cheesy but I am drymounting hooked. Can't hop on the next season soon enough.

Into The Badlands.
What an awesome show. It's a shame it's only 6 episodes on Netflix.

Nice. I've heard good things about the Metrograph. Looking forward to checking it out when I visit NY next year.

It's a nifty joint, definitely worth a visit and they've had some really good programs. Film Forum too if you haven't already, Landmark Sunshine is still one of my favorite theaters in the city and unfortunately they are being threatened with closure from a building sale.RottenAtom wrote:^

I'd like to check out Film Forum too. There's a silent film piano accompanist I like named Steve Sterner that played (plays?) there. He accompanied a handful of Hitchcock's silent films (including Champagne and a few others) and it was a memorable experience.FrankBooth wrote:It's a nifty joint, definitely worth a visit and they've had some really good programs. Bummer about Sunshine. Sucks when cool stuff is closed because of biznass ish.
Do you have a favorite pizza place near Metrograph? Film Forum?

Let me know when you're around, think I'll be joining FF as a member soon and you're welcome to my ticket from that. Same for Museum of the Moving Image out in Astoria, been a member there for a bit.RottenAtom wrote:I'd like to check out Film Forum too. The Hitchcock setup sounds nice!
Metrograph is near Chinatown, so that'd be Luna's, Scarr's or Clinton Pizza as some good choices nearby.
Film Forum, I'd say Joe's as it's a bit of an institution and Bleecker Street Pizza is also good.
Nice Italian Sandwiches right between those two on Bleecker at Faicco's, I'd recommend trying an arancini (Risotto ball) from there too. John's of Bleecker is I guess a famous place but my mileage has varied there, Keste is across the street from John's and is also a good pizza spot. That part of the Village is good for just about anything food and drink related.
