Any recommendations for similar books once I finish?
I don't know if it's similar, but A Secret History is amazing. I love it.

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss is pretty great so far...It's the first in a trilogy. The third book isn't out yet, and after book 2 it's hard to see how it could all get wrapped up in just 1 more book.

It drymounting huge, but the Malazan Book of the Fallen series (Steven Erikson) is the best I've come across.

First time this has happened. Had to put down Vineland, it was the worst thing I've ever laid eyes on. Only made it 75 pages.

Reading book 2 now, A Wise Mans Fear... highly recommend! Some say things got a little slow at the end of Name of the Wind.. they pick up.

Just finished the 21st Jack Reacher book. They won't win any literary prizes, but I do like them.

Yep - I've read them all, and always make a point of grabbing the newest as soon as it's out in paperback - popcorn fiction, but really fun popcorn fiction.
