Some truth there. Definitely weaker composition and typeface.

Agreed.

I also think Thin Red Line was one of the best movie posters of the year.

Amen! I know there was previously a group for The Killing and (I believe) Eyes Wide Shut has always been touted. Really hope we still get those two...

Too much to hope for Lolita, Paths of Glory and Barry Lyndon as well?

I agree. It looks like a really serious, in your face New Yorker cover. I really dig it for that reason. An alt movie poster for these alt times. I think it will grow on people.

I keep going back and forth on it. Style wise I feel like it doesn't really fit with the others in the series.

I'm just not interested in Matthew Modine screaming at me.

I get enough of that in my dreams.

I think The Killing group dissolved.

They certainly do, this poster would have benefited from a credit block in my opinion. I enjoy the regular color scheme far more than the variant. Joker likeness is spot on, despite it potentially detracting from the composition, I would have preferred Leonard Lawrence 1000 yard stare as the central image rather than Joker war face if im complaining, but overall i enjoy it. The Hue city scene on the bottom sells it for me.

Agree. And it's probably why I like it and why the typical Hanuka fan doesn't seem to. Rest of the series doesn't do much for me. If I look at his ACO for example, all I can think of is that there are imo better ACO posters out there. It's definitly a curveball on the FMJ, but I think it works. I like the cleaner look of the illo. It looks quite detailed for his standards too.

My thing with most if not all of Tomer's stuff is even if I don't gravitate to it initially, once I see it printed and in person I usually end up liking.
jkw3000 - Nobody ever really wins in this hobby.
Olly - I'm a hack asshole unable to provide you with what you want.

Yea it did... I was in it! I reckon there's a solid chance we'll see these rest of Kubrick's filmography from Hanuka!

Tomer is doing a poster with Bottleneck Gallery for something I can't talk about. (cross post)
