Yeah, it's called incompetence. What's it been now? Almost a year? All the while, people are volunteering money to help solve the problems.

Yawn.

I just find it a shame to see a great resource not functioning as well as it should. The support is there. People are ready to open their wallets to help. They just need to know what the game plan is.

And I'm certainly not trying to take away from what the volunteers do around here. They put in a ton of work which I do appreciate.

^ this. I'm not sure why they just don't say what we need and let everyone throw some ideas out. A ton of people are ready and willing help.

I may be wrong but I can't imagine the folks that started the store ever imagined it would get as big as it has and IT'S ALL FREE. Running it is a labor of love not full time paid position right? If you ask me Everybody should donate at least 10% of their sales on the site same as they do when they list on ebay. I know it will never become a paid membership site, but maybe make the classifieds/release discussions (when they start working) and the sacred price charts etc open only to financial contributors. Basically strip it down to just art comments and details tab for anyone that chooses not to contribute to keeping things running.

Everybody posting is a financial contributor right? (Hint the answer is no)

I like the idea of only contributors should be able to report their personal sales. Would likely reduce some of the treejam-like sales reporting and increase the reliability on said charts.

Not going to deny that y'all are right - and we do know/believe that the community is willing to contribute. However, we also don't want to toss out a number half-assed. Being an actual business, we have to look at it as getting multiple bids, looking at options, trying to hash out the best approach, etc. And with a group that can't meet in person (and thus has complications in timing of discussions), those talks aren't going to be solved in a day.
Trust us... we want to have the site up and reliable as much as all of you do - probably even more. It's trying to decide the best way to go about that which is the hardest part at this point.

Even if you don't buy the print, but buy something else while you're browsing, EB gets a cut because you initially used the link from our site. All we're asking is that whenever you are hoping to buy something on eBay, use a link - any link - from EB first.
Didn't know that. I bet most members don't. Kind of a game changer.
Dang I didn't know that either. Will make a habit of it from now on.
