It's almost like the Croatoan haters can't access the art comments, where people have been clamoring for that print for like 7 years. And when it does come, it's world class, and embossed, and better than anyone hoped. fudge, go back through the "show us your desktop" thread, Croatoan has been, and still is, my desktop wallpaper for years.
Who gives a fudge that the original painting wasn't done in '14 -- the art print edition was, and that's what people voted for.

By your logic, artists should start producing giclee versions of art they created 5-10 years ago - and win an award for it, for the recycled art. You are aware this is not even a screen print? Nobody cares if you have been stroking off to this thing for seven years. It's really a travesty this was ever allowed to compete with art that was produced in 2014.
If the Horkey fanboys could only see how incredibly biased they are, you guys are just rigging the system. It's really a slap in the face to the other artists. Shame.

If it's art print of the year, and the print was created in 2014, what's the big deal? Seems like it fits the criteria.

It's not about me. The EB award winners are chosen by examining BOTH photos of actual prints and digital images. No one can objectively judge pieces of art based on an amalgam of different image types.fredo wrote:Are you including all the photos taken of the actual prints?1000steps wrote: EB...is based entirely on jpegs...
Don't get me wrong - I am sure many people believe they can effectively interpret skewed data. Reality and experience imply otherwise.
Welcome to the sleaze pit
Yeah, not a huge fan of the idea of a print winning something when it hasn't been printed yet, but mcnail made a good point that most people won't ever see the print in the flesh if they don't ever own one, which is a lot of people. As long as there are some in the flesh shots, I feel like people can get a good enough idea of what the print looks like to vote, in good faith, something in as POTY1000steps wrote:It's not about me.
