How do you know what the final price was on the Christie's listings were?

Not sure. I tried to figure it out when the jaws sold. What was it up to?

Confused

The link for that Christies sale does not show the price!

Does the amount include the 25% buyers fee, and the 20% Tax?

How much did the seller get after Christies took their chunk of fees?

Christies makes Ebay look like saints.

prices were posted on christies.com a few days after the auction but are no longer showing up in search results which is why you're not seeing them. EB recorded prices are in USD and include strike price +25% buyers premium. This reflects the final amount the buyer paid but does not include VAT or shipping since that's relative to the location of the buyer.

As for what the seller takes home- my understanding is their take home is the strike price less a 25% seller fee and marketing/insurance fees (no clue how much those are tho).

Hope this helps. I thought the christies auction results were interesting and worth sharing but I get not everyone feels that way. Some items went for a lot over what we call 'market prices' while Durieux's Jaws was in line with eBay prices and looks like Stout's Blade Runner was passed completely.

I bought the Empire print a few weeks ago in a private sale. How do I add this to the sales history?

You can list it as For Sale at the price you bought it for, then immediately mark it as 'Sold at the Price Shown'.

Mark it as "Sold at Price Shown' is done through the 'Note' option?

I usually place the item for sale with a price, save it and then go to the sale listing you just created and "edit" it. Then you'll get the "sold at price shown" option.

Ok thanks.

Anything I should put in the 'Note"?
