 As you should be. Looks like a continuous bevel on both mats?

I matted over the white border, it looked too distracting IMO. The molding has silver on it, so it makes the metallics really pop.
Good call on the border. Looks damn nice!
Love ornate moldings myself, very nice choice!
Amazing frame job on this! Love it.

As well you should be. The choices you made we're brilliant, and the overall effect is memorable. Major kudos.

If anyone cares...

I basically just copied what I liked about this guy's D*Face; our mats are a bit different and he has a pretty sweet/badass cut-out for the embossing that I ruled out at the last moment in favor of a slightly wider reveal from the edges of the starting points of the image:

^^ that is super.

this was where I was heading at first:

The double black lines were a bit too much on the other half of the print.

Glad you just went with the single white mat with the black core... Really makes the print stand out and not get lost in the white on white frame and mat. VERY nice!!

Gorgeous work in this thread! Thank you all for posting/sharing!

Here is my latest.

"The commercial towing vessel, Nostromo, was a Lockmart CM 88B M-Class star-freighter owned by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. Its mission was to haul a large refinery from the resource-rich planet, Thedus, in the Outer Rim Territories to Earth. Upon their return to Earth, the crew of the Nostromo found themselves prematurely awakened due to an intercepted distress beacon by the Nostromo's on-board computer, MU-TH-UR (called "MOTHER" by the crew). Their fate was sealed, as they landed on the planetoid LV-426 and brought on board a deadly creature unknown to the crew, and humanity. After an exhaustive effort to exterminate this alien (xenomorph), there were only two survivors able to make their way to the escape pod Narcissus; one of which was a ginger tomcat, lovingly known as "Jonesy." After his return to Earth 57 years later, the known history of Jonesy ends. Is the legend of Jonesy over?" http://insidetherockposterframe.blogspo ... flesh.html

JONESY (GREY) is a 3 color (with metallic ink) 18''x24'' hand-pulled art print.

Printed by New Flesh on 100lb French Whip Cream fine art paper. JONESY (GREY) is signed and numbered with an edition of 60.

The fillet I used mimics the spotting used around the bottom of the art. I really like how this turned out. You would think framing this was easy, it took at least an hour to decided on matting, fillet, and frame. The only easy (but expensive) thing about framing something is choosing museum glass.
