Ha!!! NEVER have I felt more affinity with Harry Dunne!! Last night was the third time I've been the second highest bidder on eBay on a KB variant...I keep thinking I have it in the bag - last one only went for $666 a month ago...I put in $911 thinking I'll get it for around $750 and get sniped again...I literally couldn't get to sleep last night and I've been in a sh**y mood all day today because of it...I paid way over the previous highest recorded price for my Inglorious Basterds variant because they come up so rarely. Had I known that this was going to keep happening with KB, that's the print I would've started out high on...could not be more dejected right now...bulkhead72 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOdxz77-lagrubberneck wrote:No doubt. Oh, I know - that's what elicited my sad smile...I can't take the risk of not getting another IB again...although this hobby seems to be awash with flippers, I'm sure there are some (like me) who once they get a print they love will not let it go for ANY price...I've rarely seen the IB variant sell in it's lifetime, particularly the AP, which I have...the chances of me getting ANOTHER one of those is slim to none, hence my sad smile. As much of an idiot as I am, I have to at least TRY and play this smart and look at the numbers of the two prints' variants...there are possibly 265 KB vars out there - only around 105 IBs...you won't ever see me selling or trading my copy...gonzo303 wrote:But I was serious.

Inspired by the Horkey TWBB price debate I decided to look into when the best time to buy Stout's Kill Bill print actually was. A regular just sold for $750 and hindsight is 20/20 so let's check out the numbers...
-43% sold under $350
-68% sold for under $400
-Worst time to buy was within 30 days of release or 12 months after release
-Best time to buy was between 30-180 days after release (ie supply was very high)
-Price only began to rise again a full year after release after (ie supply started to run out)
Disclaimer- I did this for myself to objectively prove or disprove what everyone says about buying immediately after release. I am sharing because there might be a few EBers who find this interesting. rest of you can shrug it off and call me a chart nerd.. see if I care

Thanks so much for doing this dude!! even thou it makes me feel like more of a loser for not finding this hobby sooner, it's cool that you took the time to do it for the community!! And doesn't deter me from trying to get my hands on one!!!theperfecttree wrote:Inspired by the Horkey TWBB price debate I decided to look into when the best time to buy Stout's Kill Bill print actually was.
