I almost bought this poster on ebay.
However, when i look at the poster more closely.
I don't really like it.
This print is missing something..like the wolf gods and boar gods...etc.....missing some important characters.
I like the Totoro one more.

I just don't get it, as much as I'd like to impress 17 year old asian girls, it's just not my vagina demographic

Loved the totoro one, love this one. It just makes sense from top to bottom, considering Studio Ghibli's usual motifs and penchant for eco-friendliness. The whole rest of the image grows organically out of the Forest Deer Spirit. Just beautiful. I'll have to manage somehow to get my hands on the variant. :D

Ha, love your username too Amaterasu. It fits your style perfectly ;)
Good luck getting a variant! I'm going after the Reg ( I prefer the green, and it goes with the gorgeous Totoro variant )

Hey mods. Can y'all fix the sales on this sumbitch? A bunch of reg+variants sales got mixed in with the sale records for the reg.

Glad to hear you say that, actually. I thought it was just mine (regular edition). I've never seen that on a Mondo print before.

Do they look like phantom chub rub by any chance?

Hmm..maybe. I have a print #'d in the 80's and I've seen the same marks on prints in the 300's. It's just a weird ghost that appears in certain light but only in certain spots. It's streaked above and below the forest spirits head, and then through the titles towards the bottom of the print. The variant doesn't seem to have it as badly. They must have been going fast to meet comic con.

Any chance you can take a pic?
I will do likewise tomorrow in the sunlight.

I think mine is the same way, but it looks like faint chub rub because it isn't a precise mark, looks a bit haphazard.
