Because the Phish haven't played here since '03?

Come onnn.

You live 5 hrs from Vegas and San Diego. 6 hours to LA.

You could be in much worse places.

No not because the Phish haven't played here, because most bands/groups/acts skip this state all together and when they do come its more often then not a Tuesday or Thursday. Those of us with full time jobs that start early in the AM have difficulty really enjoying these shows. I have lived here for quite awhile now and it is worse now then it ever was in the past. The backward ideology of the majority of the state doesn't help matters either. Driving 5hrs to see a show (not to mention the cost of travel, hotel, etc) gets tedious....but i still do it when its warranted. Flew to LV to see Die Antwoord a couple months back, went to LV for Black Keys last year, Dave and Tim not too long ago, Hollywood for Phish, etc. Going to EDC in LV, Phish in CO, and Puscifer in Prescott in the next few months.....so yeah I travel....and yeah its tedious and expensive and it would be very nice to see a decent show in town once maybe twice a year.

You're in a tough spot, dog, living in a state that has laws/attitudes that keep lots of things (not just concerts) from coming in. It takes lots of otherwise quiet, mind-your-own-business peeps speaking up publicly for a long time t change that underlying tone.

I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

/\ Yep! Thanks for understanding. I am no activist, but I have been what I can to help the logical cause here (to little end, of course) but ultimitely I am done with and over this state......just as soon as we can sell out our house without it being a complete nightmare we are out of here (unfortunately, that doesn't seem likely anytime in the near future) :(

oh well....in the meantime I will take what i can get.......and get back on the plane to the next show!!!

My gf scored 2 Sundays through lotto. I got 4 of my friends and myself to attempt ticketmaster. One got 2 Sat and everyone else failed. I got all the way through to the verify card part with 2 Fridays and they disappeared in the waiting process after that. So did my buddy. He called me yesterday and told me he checked his email and he has a purchase receipt with invoice # and his cc has been charged. I am super stoked!!

I love the bubble lettering P H I S H above the character's head. That would e something I'd frame, without the rest of the image; it's awesome.
