Take the end bit of the Youtube address (immediately after v= ) and put it immediately after v/ in the quoted code

Not sure if that makes sense...

Sexual Healing

Doesn't necessarily slay the original... but I like it

Also, again sorry for not following directions RP but I think these are great, fresh takes that aren't better than the original but can exist on their own plane.

Creep covers:

Hanson covered Radiohead's "Optimistic" off of Kid A a few years back. I have an mp3 of it. Its drymounting excellent. Deal with it.

Completely agree. The Bangles really took that one and made it better.

Here are a few I think improved upon or at least matched the original.

You've got to be drymounting kidding me. I wouldn't describe myself as a Commodores or Lionel Ritchie fan but that's a great song and FNM hardly did anything to change it... except get rid of the whole drymounting 2nd verse and the bridge!! The drymounting lairy bastards.

Edit: now FNM's cover of War Pigs live is something I can get behind.

I nominate this one

Meh I'm a huge FNM fan so I admit my bias lol... I felt the same way when I seen Gerry Rafferty's "classic" (Baker Street) Vs Foo Fighters C'mon really Dave Grohl is the man but that song not so much...

Oh yea, consider that one slayed.

Even though I've seen the original live more than once... I must attest, that's some powerful chit right there.

many consider this to be THE Bowlegged Woman from Widespread Panic...JB is in full command of the six-headed monster here and this run of shows was epic to say the least.

the sound is amazing for a 2001 video...i always wonder where the rest of this show is on DVD...id love to have it...

oh, and drymount yeah that's MIKEY over there!

:D D'angelo gets no love on this site. Not that he deserves it. He made one great record, and it was a long long time ago. But I do stand by the opinion that Voodoo is a downright great soul record, and you can hold it up with any of the great records by Al Green to Stevie Wonder, to Sly Stone, to Marvin Gaye. Not saying that D'Angelo overall as musician is in that company. But Voodoo is one of the best soul albums ever, imo.

Maybe it was the abs. Because as his abs were lost, so too was his greatness.

Dude's lumpy now, and if you heard his records, you'd see the connection. He's like a modern-day Sampson, just, you know, with abs instead of hair.

He played Bonnarro a few hours ago, btw, as Questlove's surprise guest. A surprise guest that did a whole set: http://articles.boston.com/2012-06-10/a ... ompson-jam

Not that there's anything wrong with Pulp's version, but Shatner simply kills it.
