I'm not a fan of Wood's work as much as I am Geddes' work, but I respect both artists as observers and interpreters, although their creative processes and destinations and far different. With that said, what brings the greater Wood followers here to like his work?
Please enlighten me.
For me personally its an interesting niche that he's filling as an artist that is actively releasing prints/originals. Most of his releases are based on the stories and characters that he created. Additionally I get a weird "raw" feeling each time I see one of his pieces - like he's saying "eff you if you don't like this" or "I don't give a eff if you like it or not, pussy" I guess is how I'd explain it. (for example: the giant empty space in the most recent print Lady Sham Stroll or certain aspects of After the War or Domestic Scene

)
Plus his originals are affordable despite the "must purchase without thinking" nature of the drops. Hopefully he releases preview images in the future!!!!!!!!
I'd say they both Geddes and Wood have an "ominous" nature about their work that attracts me. The same ominous nature that attracts me to prints like Keyes' Last Kiss for example...just different levels of that "feeling"...I like art that is a bit weird and/or makes people wonder "whaaaaaaaaaaaa?"
basically skill + subject matter attracted me... someone PM or lambaste me if I'm thinking incorrectly about all this.
