I have a few original sketches from various artists and a small watercolor I commissioned from a member here (pathways is awesome!), but this is my first original oil painting. I bought the print a month or so ago and loved it so much I tracked down the artist and asked if I could buy the original. :) Now to figure out how to frame/mount/display it -- it's on unstretched canvas, but I'm afraid stretching it over a frame will eliminate too much of the image. :?

It is small (2.5x3.75 inches), but has a nice level of detail, I don't know how he etches such detail in such a small space.

I would have liked to also have grabbed a larger piece but my favorite is $5k. I'm gonna hold off a while on a purchase of that magnitude...

By the looks of the edges it looks like he painted that on something them placed it inside the tin. Is that the case?

The only adult in that video is a black guy hanging out with the whitest 12 year olds on the planet.

Yes.

By space I mean the small surface area, not actually doing it in the tin. Its put in there afterwards. He does some in film cannisters, wood blocks etc... His 24x36 pieces look stunning just from pics but I'm sure they are amazing in the flesh...
