If your civic had a trailer hitch I'd pay for the uhaul. I'd be able to store them here in Austin. I'd only need storage if someone in htown picked em up until I could make a trip down.

It's not my civic (buddy's, cats ditto). I don't know if he has a hitch, but I'll check later when we talk (kinda doubt it, sadly). I'd just take my car, but it definitely doesn't have a hitch (though, if I had time, I'd probably go get one mounted). I've got to tell you, the flat file on CL that looks like an elephant sat on it and is missing a drawer that's been up for months is starting to look good.

LOL, the one for trade for musical equipment? Screw that.

If I wasn't already going to Dallas tomorrow, I'd go down there myself. The search is on!

 I'm sure it'd be a great deal for anyone willing to vacate the family of racoons that surely setup house w/in it.

Something will come up... and if not, I'm going to put one together in the shop, or, err, kitchen, as it were. My wife loves it when I start woodworking :).

I'm in for a flat file or 2 if a lot comes up.

17" high, 30" deep, and 40" wide with 5 -  2 3/4 " drawers.

Anyone able to grab/store one for me for a very small amount of time?

I'm in Houston (Spring), would be more than happy to help you out. i've got a place to keep it too until you can visit. If this contact still has the other one for sale, I can take them off of her/his hand's for us.

Let me know

Dammit. It's a really nice work surface (and a light table to boot!), but I only NEED the flat file. :hanging:

Also, apologies for not introducing myself on Saturday. Saw you out there, but didn't come over.

Chicken. ;) No one pointed you out to me, so I stayed in my little corner of the line and ran my mouth off there. Next time! :)

The search is finally over. I got my flat files

I checked craigslist for over a year and everything I found was too big, too ragged, too expensive or the wrong color. I wanted 2 matching files. There weren't many decent ones to pick from. I finally found these on ebay. The listing was for a retro furniture store here in Houston, so I went and picked them up.

Massive drymounters. 47"x 35.5" Took awhile to clean and set up, but they match the carpet and sofa, and they're in good condition. Drawers all slide and the insides are clean.

Well, I thought this was a done deal. I was paying him to deliver it to me. Says he is selling local now. :(
